WHO WE ARE

Founded to honour a legacy , built to change lives

  • The Joseph Baliddawa Foundation for the Visually Impaired is dedicated to empowering children with visual impairments to live with dignity, confidence, and opportunity.
  • Founded to honor the legacy of Joseph Baliddawa, we work to provide education, healthcare, and community support for visually impaired children across Uganda.

Our Vision

A Uganda where every child with a visual impairment can reach their full potential and thrive in society.

Our Mission

To empower and educate children with visual impairments through sustainable support, inclusive education, healthcare, and mentorship.

Why We Exist

  • Over 80,000 children in Uganda live with visual impairment, many lacking access to education and healthcare
  • Poverty and stigma often prevent children from receiving timely treatment and the support they need.
  • We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to their community.
